Justice and Rights (AJAR) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based
in Jakarta, Indonesia working to strengthen accountability and respect for
human rights in the Asia Pacific region.

AJAR
focuses its work in countries attempting to build a stable democratic base
following prolonged conflict or authoritarian rule.

AJAR
believes that peace and democracy can only be sustained if impunity,
corruption, denial of the truth about past violations are addressed. We aim to
equip both local and national actors with the necessary skills, knowledge and
resources for their long-term efforts to strengthen accountability.

Indonesia is looking for a Program Coordinator for Indonesia Office.
 
Position Title:  Indonesia Program
Coordinator, Head of Office 
 
Location:  Jakarta, Indonesia
 
Supervisor:  Director 
 
Summary:
The
Program Coordinator/Head of Office is responsible for coordinating and
implementing AJAR’s programs in Indonesia, coordinating the Jakarta Office,
managing personnel and grants, maintaining relations with partner
organizations, government representatives, policy-makers, media, and other
stakeholders. Provides supervision of financial and human resources management.
Works with AJAR’s Director to maintain relationships with donors and
fundraising.
 
Responsibilities:
·       Contributing
to the development and implementation of a comprehensive and integrated human
rights and accountability program in Indonesia;
·       Managing
staff in Jakarta Office; liaising and coordinating with AJAR personnel in the
Bali/Dili offices
·       With the
Finance Coordinator, supervising financial reports, checking petty cash and
grant balances
·       Developing
and implementing a human resource management in the Jakarta Office.
·       Managing grants and
monitoring the implementation of the program;
·       Assist in the delivery of
trainings or other interventions in Indonesia.
·       Assist in AJAR’s
fundraising efforts.
 
Minimum
Requirements:
·       Graduate degree in
International Law, Social Studies or related field
·       7-10 years experience in
human rights and transitional justice work in Indonesia 
·       Professional level
English and Indonesian.
·       Experience in project
management
 
Requirements:   
Ability to travel; Management skills; Ability for
teamwork.
